You will see by going through the web site we have no paid
advertisements. The reason for this is that everyone that has
contacted us to place an advertisement has offered either a
product or service that we felt was inappropriate for us to
be associated with.
Tim's even been offered big money to do a cable TV show on
consumer issues. Unfortunately the sponsor wanted to sell diet
chocolate candies. Of course Tim said no.
We received no federal or state money or grants of any
kind.
Most people don't realize the time involved in helping
someone. An example of this is an elder abuse case, I worked on for over
three days. This case is typical in
that the consumer I'm helping, an 85-year-old lady living on
just over $300 a month. Social Security therefore, the only
thing I will receive for my time is a good feeling knowing
that I've helped someone. Unfortunately, that doesn't pay the
bills.
Even a simple consumer problem can take from one to three
hours..
Whether you've been the recipient of help from Tim Duffy,
or are just surfing the Internet. We need your help. So we can
help others.
Whether you donate to us or not, we also would ask you to
consider donating to your local battered women's shelter. The
organization, we recommend is Wings part of the YWCA. You
might also ask your employer to do the same. If you
don't have the funds to donate consider donating your time, to
a local battered woman's shelter or helping the elderly.
