Big Business, Banking, Securities firms, Insurance companies and other Special Interest groups are Buying Votes.

We no longer have a Government by and for the people, but a Government for who has the most money to give to your elected representatives or those that would like to be elected.

'Oh yes' you listen to the promises that they make to you, promises made, promises broken. They will say just about anything they think you want to hear so they can go to Washington and work for your enemies and their fat cat friends.

You as a consumer should be particularly interested in the big three. Banking , Securities and Insurance
These three give the most to our representatives in Washington and have the biggest effect on you.
Why do you think you pay high credit card fees?
Why do you pay a $29.00 late fee on a credit card?
What about the fine print on introductory rates or balance transfers?

How can some $10.00 an hour clerk with a high school education sitting in a plush office decide that you don't need a medical procedure that your doctor who's gone to medical school for over 12 years and thinks is necessary for your well being?

They get away with this and a lot more because their industries give millions to your elected representatives and their political parties both Republican and Democrat although Republicans receive far more. (I think they call it being kinder and gentler.)

When the Congress deregulated the Banking, Securities and Insurance industry this year and allowed them to inbreed their businesses, who do you think got the most campaign donations from them?

Why, the representatives that voted for the deregulation!
They got paid! Least you think that was a small amount it came to well over One Hundred Million Dollars .

I could site dozens and dozens of examples, hell probably hundreds but I think you get the picture.
What can you do?

You can find out whose pocket your elected representative is in, yours or the special interests.
Thanks to the Internet this information is available to you the voter.

The Center for Responsive Politics will let you know who is trying to buy the votes of your Senator or Congressman.

The consumer advocate site Common Cause also has a lot of information on where the money comes from and whom it goes to.
The above links will let you know to whom your elected representatives have sold you out to.

Presidents past present and future!
