How do I know they are scams?

The answer is quite simple. In my impetuses youth (1963) I went to work for Modern Sewing Center in Syracuse New York and learned most of the sewing machine scams. Since then I have been in and out of the business several times, the last being in the early 80's where I learned how to run the School Machine Sales from a number of major manufactures and or distributors.
